lawrence barn dance association presents the Big Feet Little Feet Family Dances 2009 NEW VENUE!!! Third Saturdays, October through March from 5:30 to 6:45 p.m. at Woodlawn School 508 Elm Street, north Lawrence. Adults $2/Children $1 All ages and abilities welcome. These dances are child and adult friendly! They feature local callers and musicians. Bring your own brown bag supper for afterwards. Family dance participants are welcome to participate in the beginner class .. and the first two dances of the regular Saturday dance for free! Big Feet Little Feet Family Dances is off for the summer .. see you in october .. !

LBDA general information The Lawrence Barn Dance Association (LBDA) organizes contra dances, workshops, and special events in the Lawrence, Kansas area with the goal of promoting community through dance and music, and having fun in the process! Regular Events The LBDA holds a regular contra dance, usually on the third saturday of the month. Beginners are always welcome at these dances. When a month has five saturdays, we add a special "Blue Moon" dance for more experienced dancers on that fifth saturday. In order to avoid schedule conflict with some community music events, we occasionally alter the date of our dances. Special Events We also have special events from time to time, ranging from family dances and dance parties, to our annual dance weekend each November. ... and so you don't miss out, check the LBDA site to see what else is happening when.
