about Greg Allen ..

Greg Allen is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist and songwriter. He has played in a wide variety of bands local and regional bands with styles ranging from bluegrass and country to swing, blues, and jazz. His influences necessarily run the gamut from Monroe and Berline to Coltrane and Metheny. Though most of his playing time has been in the central plains region of the US, he has been involved in the music scenes of Minneapolis and New York City as well. He currently lives in Lawrence, Kansas where he performs, composes, teaches and raises two great kids.
