Author and Composer Bios
Peter Zachary Cohen is the author of seven novels and the text of three picture books published for children that have been Junior Literary Guild
selections and received other awards and recognitions, with three published also abroad.
He originated the story and wrote the script for two half-hour dramatic movies for a series produced by Xerox.
He also originated and wrote the book and lyrics for a musical, The Cannon in the Park, produced by the then repertory Continental Theatre Company
that had 50 performances from Seattle to Washington, D.C.
Now he has originated and written the book and lyrics for The Great Persuader or Hurrah for the Merry-Gold.
It has had two performances of a shortened readers theatre version.
Greg Allen is a composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist living in Lawrence, Kansas.
He has won several regional and national songwriting contests, including the Walnut Valley Festival Songwriter's Showcase,
the Intermountain Acoustic Music Association Performing Songwriter Showcase Contest, and the Heartland Folks Fest Songwriting Competition.
He has also won several regional fiddle contests including the Kansas state fiddle championship.
As a guitarist and violinist he has entertained in venues from New York and Minneapolis to Kansas City and Branson.
He has studied music and composition and music theory at the University of Kansas and now composes and arranges instrumental and choral music
for many small groups in the midwest region.
